Jefferson Moura was born on October 28th, 1977 and is one of the most prestigious representatives of the Gracie Barra family. An extremely accomplished Jiu Jitsu athlete with wins at the Mundial and the Brazilian Nationals, Jefferson took over the mammoth task of replacing Carlos Gracie Junior and Marcio Feitosa at the helm of the Gracie Barra headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, after the famous coaches moved to the United States.

Just had a free class here with coach Daniel Jacques. Not only does Daniel know his stuff, but his teaching style is incredibly easy to follow and offers plenty of one-on-one guidance throughout the session. The entire gym is spotless, plenty of locker space and they have showers here as well. One point that really hit home for me was the organization of their curriculum. I haven't seen anything so comprehensive and planned out as this before. I'm incredibly impressed by the high calibre of this institution.
